Some folks wonder why I wear 'sunglasses' all of the time. Not. I have a condition called Scatopic Sensitivity Syndrome and use colored lenses to treat this brain condition. By looking through color, the symptoms and maybe eventually the problem, can be helped. I don't see any change in the color of the world from my side. Interesting... it is estimated that about 20% of the population has SSS, and it is rarely identified. Check out http://www.irlen.com.
The researchers also estimate that possibly 50% of the prison population may have SSS. Severe cases can lead to total disfunction. All this when a bit of color - or 'looking through rose colored glasses' - may help. One of those nasty statistics that you wonder why THEY don't do anything about it... like the one where the number of prison beds estimated to be needed in the future is based on the number of children who can't read in Second Grade. Hmmmmmm.
